As I always
say, Touristologists don’t go on holydays they just visit other places to learn
new tricks, avoid big pitfalls and… why not? Look for an opportunity to advance
in his/her career!
We

So, you
visit a tourist destination, a hotel, a restaurant, an airline company… you name it! And suddenly, out of the blue, in your
mind appear ways to improve the service, how to bring new segments from
different nationalities, how to use or build up chains of value, how to … you
are unable to stop this visions and like in this scene of “ The bourne
Identity” you ask yourself…. “Why would I know that?”
Why
would WE know that? Because we are Touristologists! That’s WHY!
Are
there other careers/degrees apart from Touristology? Plenty of them! Are they
more important, requiring more intelligent students, a kind of superior human
beings? Sure, in their dreams!!! Just remember Eleanor Roosevelt… “Nobody can make you feel inferior
without your consent”. It’s also worth remembering Henry C.Link “While one
person hesitates because he feels inferior, the other is busy making mistakes
and becoming superior”.
On
